Entry for this event is $5 and a business card. Pre-registration is open until Thursday, November 14th at NOON. Members can also register at check-in at the event using cash or card.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Nov. 16, for Carteret-Craven Electric Cooperative’s Member Shred Event. Have up to six banker's boxes of your sensitive documents shredded and safely disposed of by our on-site partner, Shred-It, during our FREE shred event! 

The event begins at 9 a.m. and will continue until noon or when the trucks are filled, whichever comes first. Boxes will be emptied and returned to members. Members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the event for our local food pantries. Please help us help others.

Since its creation in 2015, the Irreverent Warriors 501(c)(3) non-profit organization has provided their unique brand of unconventional therapy to the military and veteran communities. Irreverent Warriors uses events like our Silkies Hikes to introduce veterans to our network full of camaraderie, accountability, support, and positivity.

Humor, shared experience, and mutual understanding drive powerful connections and create lasting bonds that eliminate isolation. We are committed to being a united force in the veteran community while promoting a culture of love and respect where all veterans are welcome.

Our organization prioritizes mental health and well-being and seeks to drive a healthy culture in the veteran community. Our main event is the Silkies Hike, which typically involves hiking in boots, a ruck, and silkies. The point isn’t what you wear or whether you carry weight; it is providing a shared experience with fellow veterans in an environment brimming with understanding and camaraderie.
