Carteret Community College (Morehead City, NC) is accepting applications for a part-time Dental Assisting instructor to provide classroom and laboratory instruction to students and assist in program development. Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
Must meet one of the following requirements:
1. Baccalaureate degree or higher, or;
2. Earn a baccalaureate degree within three years of the date of hire

Additional requirements:
1. Three years of clinical experience as a dental assistant
2. Hold current certification in Dental Assisting from the Dental Assisting National Board
3. Experience and proficiency in curriculum development, instruction, and evaluation is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

Professional skills, knowledge, and attributes within the dental assisting profession.
Classroom and laboratory instructional techniques and procedures.
Principles and procedures of academic and instructional techniques and procedures.
Current trends, dental assisting best practice, research and development in the area of assignment.
Principles and techniques involved in test development and administration.
