It may come as a surprise to many that one of the proper methods of retiring your tattered or damaged flag is to burn it. On June 14^th, Doug Cawman will lead a flag retirement ceremony on the Historic Site’s grounds (130 Turner St.) that demonstrates this method of honoring Old Glory. This is a free event.
