The Carteret County Public Schools (CCPS) Arts and Music Departments are excited to present an unforgettable American Music Festival Concert on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 9:00 AM, hosted in the Croatan High School Auditorium. CCPS warmly invites media representatives to attend this unique event and experience a morning of inspiring music, featuring the acclaimed Euclid Quartet.

Formed in 1998, the Euclid Quartet is renowned worldwide for its outstanding artistry in chamber music. The group has achieved high honors at prestigious competitions, including Osaka, Hugo Kauder, Carmel, and Chamber Music Yellow Springs. Recognized for their contribution to American music, the Euclid Quartet was awarded the “American Masterpieces” grant by the National Endowment for the Arts in 2009, underscoring their commitment to excellence and education in the arts.

Fifth-grade students from Bogue Sound Elementary and White Oak Elementary School will attend the concert, granting them a rare opportunity to witness professional musicians perform at the highest level. Exposing students to fine arts and live music is essential to broadening their horizons and cultivating a lifelong appreciation for the arts. For many, this concert represents a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see world-class musicianship up close, inspiring future interests and aspirations in music and the arts.

The concert will conclude with a question-and-answer session, giving students the chance to engage directly with the Euclid Quartet. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain insights into the musicians' experiences, techniques, and the artistry behind chamber music.
