The North Carolina Shell Club (NCSC) is excited to announce its annual Shell Show at the Morehead City Civic Center, Fri., May 2 - Sun., May 4, 2025. The family-friendly event offers an unique opportunity to learn about native North Carolina shells, meet other collectors, visit shell art and scientific displays, and purchase shells from around the world. Visitors enjoy a collaborative day with shell club members and receive a complimentary shell with each paid admission. Proceeds from the event help fund the NC Shell Club Scholarship at UNC-Wilmington and the Everett Long Scholarship at the Carteret Community College for Marine Sciences students.
The NCSC was established in 1957 and is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to responsible shell collecting, marine conservation and the study of malacology. The Club mission is to provide meaningful opportunities for members to share best practices, meet other shell enthusiasts and participate in networking opportunities. Membership includes beachcombers, explorers, citizen scientists and world travelers and provides networking and mentorship opportunities.
