Survey: Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy
The Eastern Carolina Council serves as the Economic Development District (EDD) for the U.S. Economic Development Administration in the nine-county region. One of the functions that we carry out as part of that role is to create the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for the region.
What is a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, or CEDS? – Simply put, a CEDS is a strategy-driven plan for regional economic development. The development of the 2023-27 CEDS occurred in 2022 and is available online at https://eccog.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/CEDS-ECC-FINAL-DRAFT-22.12.30.pdf.
The development of the 2023-27 CEDS occurred in 2022. The CEDS goes through a major rewrite every 5 years, and an annual tweaking or update is also required.
REQUEST – For the purposes of an annual update of ECC’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), you are asked to provide feedback on topics that influence the 2023-27 CEDS, as well as the priority areas listed in the plan. ECC is asking for this input through this survey in lieu of an in-person meeting.
In order to track the engagement of this survey and potential follow-up, we are asking for your contact information in the survey, but your individual answers will be kept confidential. Also, please feel free to share this survey with other economic development and business leaders.
Please complete the following survey by October 23rd: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ECC2024CEDS. The survey will take about 10 minutes.
