The Grand Tasting event will feature wine distributers from across North Carolina with more than thirty wines not offered in the traditional shopping locations. You can choose one of two ticket types: VIP or General Admission.
A VIP Ticket
allows you to enter at 1 pm., which provides an extra hour with the
distributers in a more intimate setting. This ticket will allow you to sample
all of the wines from our distributers and wineries, includes a VIP gift, crystal
wine glass, charcuterie, and complementary water to cleanse your palate.
A General Admission
Ticket allows you to sample 15 wines from the distributors and wineries, with
the option to purchase additional tastings. You will also receive the crystal wine
glass, charcuterie, and complementary water to cleanse your palate.
A limited amount of wines will be onsite for you to
purchase your favorites to take home with you that day. Don’t worry, we can
always order more if we run out of your favorite onsite.
This year, the Wine
Academy will offer two classes from you to choose from. The first class is
Pinot Noir Perfection taught by Jason Eure, WSET Level II (Level 2 WSET Diploma
in Wine and Spirts). The second class is Four Hip Wines You need to Be Drinking
Now taught by Brett Chappell CS, CWE, FWS, along with his wife an co-owner of MF

The Grand Tasting & Wine Academy will take place at the
Carteret Community College Hospitality & Culinary Arts Center on November 9
from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All proceeds will
benefit Carteret Community College students and programs.
